Welcome to Princeville, Hawaii.

Princeville is a census-designated place (CDP) in Kauai County. Enchanting beauty of cascading emerald mountains, uncrowded sandy beaches and spectacular waterfalls - that is Kauai Hawaii. Kauai is so richly green and flourishing that it's nicknamed 'The Garden Island'.

Nearly half the island is a protected conservation area, and much of the rest is rural. White sand beaches, palms, swayed by the light ocean breeze, crystal clear water, lush tropical blooming.

The population was 1,698 at the 2000 census.

Princeville is a carefully landscaped planned resort community on the north shore of the island of Kauai, and is home to the luxury Princeville Resort (see photo).
Princeville at Hanalei is considered one of the world's most beautiful destinations. Situated among the lush sea cliffs that tower over Kauai's picturesque Hanalei Bay, minutes from world famous Napali and Waimea Canyon and many more activities you won't want to miss during your stay in paradise.

The Makai Golf Course consists of three separate Nines - Ocean, Woods, and Lakes, each starting and ending at the clubhouse. All three provide the golfer, whether novice or professional, with challenge and variety.

Built in 1913, the Kilauea Lighthouse beacon used to steer ships traversing the blue Pacific to safety. It's also a favorite stop for bird watchers with the Kilauea Point Wildlife Refuge right next door.

Opaeka`a Falls - One of several scenic sites in the Wailua area, Opaeka`a Falls is named for the tiny native shrimp (opae) found in the pools below. Their annual egg-laying dyes the water of the pools and falls red.
